LOST FLORIDA ATTRACTIONS
The Changing Face of Tourism

Today huge theme parks complete with hotels and nightlife feature the Florida tourist scene replacing the family attractions. Eco-tourism has replaced alligator farms. A few gator farms exist (Orlando, St Augustine) but the ostrich farms and pure gardens are gone or turned into parks.

Silver Springs, Weeki Wachee, and Wakulla Springs are last of underwater. Planet Ocean (Miami) and Pirates World (Dania) sank. At US27 and I-4 Boardwalk and Baseball and Circus World failed. Xanadu the House of the Future (US192) became obsolete. CLICK ON THE TITLE TO SEE THE PHOTOGRAPH and for MORE LOST ATTRACTIONS visit LOST PARKS
