THE ILLUSTRATED GUIDE TO

THE FLORIDA WEST COAST

Compiled by M. C. Bob Leonard, Director of FHIC

THE ILLUSTRATED GUIDE TO THE FLORIDA WEST COASTis a series of driving and/or walking tours containing the detailed content of historical buildings, historic restaurants and hotels, and sites along the Florida Gulf Coast from Brooksville to Everglades City. The collection contains photographs, information, and maps for use by historians, architectural students, vacationers, and students.

Due to the continuous destruction of Florida heritage, it is quite possible that some of the buildings have been destroyed by natural and manmade causes. If a building is missing, pause a moment to reflect upon our loss and continue with hope to the next location of interest.
